The BNA, Ballarat Football Netball League and Central Highlands Netball League all have teams competing, with action kicking off on Sunday at 9am at Llanberris Reserve.
Teams play about seven rounds of netball, with games divided into eight-minute halves rather than quarters.
Semi-finals and finals will be held in the afternoon.
A top two finish in 13/under, 15/under and 17/under divisions will see six teams from Western Zone meet at the State Netball and Hockey Centre for finals day on June 24 against winners from six zone championships.
The BNA is hosting the 19th edition of the Western Zone Championships after running the inaugural event in 2000. Jo Dash said the association was excited to welcome 33 teams, coaches, umpires, talent scouts and supporters to its courts.
“It’s a big thing and a real tick for our facilities and our people,” she said. “We’ve entered teams since this has begun, we’ve always entered into every junior division.”
