Ballarat Sebastopol Cycling Club has been swamped with more than 250 entries for the second round of the state cyclocross series.
The club has set up a challenging course with hurdles and water jumps for what has been billed as “Dirty Rat” at Ballarat Pony Club in Victoria Park
Riders will contest catgeories ranging from elite A grade men and women to kids on mountain and BMX bikes.
Racing begins at 11am and runs until 4.30pm.
SCHEDULE
11.10am: CX C grade, open men, young guns
12.05pm: CX B grade
1.20: children
1.40: CX A, B and C grade women, open women
2.40pm: CX a grade
The series began at Essendon on May 6 and will continue with another five rounds at Mt Beauty (two), Darebin, Caribbean Gardens and Oxley.
Most riders will also contest the state championships at Beechworth on July 28.
