The Vikings will host the north-west division cellar dwellers on the back of a 1-0 win over Heidelberg Stars.
That has left the Sebastopol boys fifth on the table, just goal difference off second position.
Vikings coach Corey Smith said little was known about this Saturday’s rivals.
“We really know nothing about them so we won’t be approaching it any differently than any other game,” Smith said.
“After last week’s result, we put ourselves back in a good position and now we really need to get a good result on the weekend and capitalise.”
Smith said it was unclear if Joris Kerstens would play this weekend after sustaining a cut to his leg at training on Thursday, but revealed Jason Spirovski was set to make his first starting appearance of the season.
Key player Adrian Curtain has returned from overseas travel, but is set to make his comeback through the reserves.
This will be Smith’s last game in charge before he jets out of the country to watch the World Cup.
He will miss the Vikings’ next six fixtures before he returns in time for the round 16 game against Upfield.
La Trobe University is winless from the opening six matches of the 2018 campaign, with last Saturday’s game against Sunbury United declared a wash out.
Before that, the team suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Moreland United.
This Saturday’s senior clash is scheduled to start at 3pm at Sebastopol’s St Georges Reserve, with the reserves to begin at 1pm.
