Paramedics were called to the Geelong Road campus following reports the boy, aged in his early teens, knocked heads with another player during a game about 12.15pm.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the boy was assessed at the scene and transported by road to Ballarat Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It’s understood the boy was suffering from suspected concussion.
He was competing in the tournament that involves more than 250 teams from regional Victoria, Geelong and Melbourne during the long weekend across different Ballarat schools.
