Ballarat Rush and Miners combined for seven titles in the Basketball Ballarat Queen’s Birthday long weekend junior tournament.
Rush enjoyed a productive three days by taking out five girls’ grand finals on Monday.
The Miners made up the balance with two.
Ballarat took out A grade titles in under-12 boys and girls, under-14 boys and girls, and under-16 girls.
Rush also picked up titles in 12B1 and 14B divisions
More than 250 teams contested 600 games in 37 divisions across nine venues.
Tournament manager Mark Valentine said event required a great deal of logistical planning because of the spread of venues.
He said the six new courts under construction at the Ballarat Sports and Events Centre would hopefully be ready for next year’s tournament – streamlining the work load overall for the management team.
