Ballarat Golf Club appoints new general manager

Ballarat Golf Club has appointed Ashley Bennett as its new general manager.

Bennett replaces Michael Phillips, who is now working in Sydney.

Phillips played a major role in attracting and creating some big golf tournaments at the club as seen by the PGA National Futures Championships and the Ballarat Junior Masters.

Bennett is a Ballarat local and comes to the club with 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Ballarat Golf Club Chairman John King said Bennett’s vision for the club made him a standout from the strong field.

“He had great vision for our club and displayed a sound understanding of what is required.”

Bennett will begin his new role on August 6.
