Swinton’s departure comes on the back of a sizzling run in front of goals, with the speedy attacker finding the net in his past four games.
He scored a goal in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Moreland Zebras, which has left the City boys seventh on the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 west division table after 16 rounds. They are 13 points behind leaders Altona Magic.
Mid-season recruits Kazudi Okada and Abel Fasseha both missed out on game time for their new club last weekend, but Ballarat manager Danny Gnjidic has revealed one will start this Saturday and expects the other to make an appearance off the bench.
Ballarat is preparing for battle with Langwarrin, which was promoted from state league one at the end of last season.
City’s rivals are seventh on the east division ladder following defeats in their past three matches.
Saturday’s game will be played at Langwarrin South’s Lawton Park Reserve with kick-off from 3pm.
