The City of Ballarat has worked to make the road safe, however drivers are asked to continue to take care around the busy corner.
EARLIER: THE CFA are asking drivers to try and avoid the corner of Creswick Road and Webster Street in Ballarat as they work to clear an oil slick.
CFA and police crews are on the scene at the slick which is in the left hand lane southbound, beginning outside the Aldi supermarket and continuing as far as Mair Street.
It is understood to be the second oil slick in Ballarat this morning after another one was found at the corner of Main Road and Elsworth Street in Golden Point.
CFA Senior Station Officer Ben Townsend said the slick at the Creswick Road roandabout was quite long and would have likely come from a truck.
He said crews would be closing off the left hand lane while the clean up takes place over the coming hours.
