Cackles for Cancer will star Dave O’Neill, Katie Burch, and locals Tim Young and Eathan Cavanagh on June 27.
BRICC Wellness Centre coordinator Simone Noelker said the event was a chance to fund the centre’s activities, like yoga and art therapy, and provide cancer patients with a big belly-laugh.
“By having this night, it’s a stress relief for some people and for people how many not have cancer, it’s a great way to show support for those who do,” she said
Comedian Tim Young said it was a “fantastic opportunity” to support a good cause, having lost his mother to breast cancer.
