Coach Heath Scotland confirmed a posterior cruciate ligament knee injury would sideline Graham for six weeks at the very least.
Scotland said it could be six to seven weeks or as much as eight to 10 weeks.
He said hopefully he would be back before finals, but it was going to be touch and go.
Scotland said recovery time would depend largely on the early progress Graham made.
“The first three to four weeks will tell the story.”
He said as of yet there was little sign of improvement.
Scotland said Graham, who suffered the injury in round six, was still unable to bend the leg and might soon have it in a brace for extra support.
Graham’s injury comes as Darley looks to have also lost Leigh Spiteri for the rest of the year with an anterior cruciate ligament injury and ruckman Dylan Reid is out with a hamstring strain ahead spending extended time travelling.
Scotland is hoping Reid will be back in time to play at least game before finals.
Fifth-placed Darley faces an in-form Ballarat at Alfredton on Saturday.
KEY defender Trent Angwin (groin) and Alec Del Papa (knee) have withdrawn from Bacchus Marsh’s line to meet Sunbury on Saturday.
Jack Crawford (under-18.5) will make his senior debut.
