Vikings won 2-1 to remain in the top four conversation.
Kuanyjal Tuany scored the opener midway through the first half, Adrian Curtain then doubled the visitors lead 10 minutes into the second period. Fawkner scored in the final minute of the game having missed a penalty 10 minutes earlier.
Vice-captain Pietro Angeli said the group had some good passages of play, but did not fire on all cylinders, nonetheless, three points on the road is always positive.
“It was a good result, the performance was a bit shaky, they had some good chances, but we were solid in patches and we’ll definitely take that,” Angeli said.
“(It was) not our best, but we weren’t punished anywhere near as harshly for it as we were last week.”
The result was made even more pleasing given Vikings felt it had the better of the teams’ earlier season meeting, yet lost 1-0.
It was a good result...we were solid in patches and we’ll definitely take that.

Brodie Schumacher was a late withdrawal from the match.
