But she still manages to find time to help others in the community.
That’s why she has been nominated for the 2018 AusMumpreneur Regional Business Award and Making a Difference Award (Business).
The nominations for the awards that celebrate entrepreneurial mums are a testament to the fast growing success of her business creating personalised products.
She first began GatorMEDIA in January after noticing a market for personalised and promotional products in Ballarat and attributes the its success to support from the Ballarat community.
“I didn’t expect it to blow up as much as it did,” she said.
Since, she has been able to use her business as a channel to ‘give back’.
Through GatorMEDIA Mrs Proud has become a sponsor for not-for-profit organisation Keeley’s Cause that supports children with autism.
A new campaign ‘Empowher’ encouraging women to support each other in business stemmed from her experience as a victim to online bullying from other business women.
She also ran a fundraiser after hearing about a woman in Albury with two young kids whose husband had recently died in a workplace accident. She raised more than $2000 through GatorMEDIA with 100 per cent of the profits from sales going to the family.
Mrs Proud too knows what it is like to turn to others for support. Her mother died from cancer 10 years ago and her cousin lost her ear from cancer in 2013.
How does she juggle it all?
“Organisation is the key. Every day there are more orders… I don’t sleep much,” she laughs.
Nominations for the 2018 AusMumpreneur Awards close on Friday and voting opens on July 11.
