VicRoads says the left lane works to strengthen the road near the top of the hill at Ballan heading towards Pykes Creek had been successfully replaced with deep asphalt after initial works in April failed.
Minor patching work will be completed this week in the right lane prior to the removal of the traffic barriers on Friday.
Regional Director VicRoads Western Region Mal Kersting said all remaining strengthening works to be undertaken can be accessed by staff under the bridge.
“We've been working hard to ensure these works are finished ahead of the school holiday period and we'd like to thank the public for their ongoing patience,” he said.
