AFL: Cats may draft North Ballarat's Isaac Smith

SPECULATION is mounting that North Ballarat premiership player Isaac Smith might be drafted by Geelong.The AFL is today reporting that the Cats appear to be interested in taking the 21-year-old with pick number 15 in the AFL national draft.Smith would add much-needed pace to Geelong and continue the Cats's pattern of drafting mature-aged players from state leagues.Cameron Thurley, Mathew Stokes and Harry Taylor are other plauers to have fitted into this category.Geelong gained selection 15 after trading one of its compensation picks for losing Gary Ablett to Gold Coast.
