The Rebels trailed by 10 points at the first change but the response came in the second as it kicked 5.2 to surge clear.
The Pioneers cut the margin back to five points early in the third with the opening two goals, but that was as close as it got. GWV recording a 12.11 (83) - 9.4 (58) victory.
The Rebels move further clear of the bottom-placed Pioneers, GWV posting its third victory of the season.
It will face Northern Knights next week in another game against a similarly-matched opponent. Rebels will be eyeing this encounter as a great chance to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
