“The aim is to get people who take photos to actually share them with people, to be proud of their work” said group founder, Ms Kristina Kitchingman. The exhibition is accepting images across eight catergories, from macro to protraits, with a total of 400 spots open and 72 trophies up for grabs.
The awards will be further broken down into novice, youth (6-12 years old, with local primary schools getting involved last year) and open. The competition is open to all amateurs, with restrictions on professionals and photography students of two years and over.
Entries close 27 July. The exhibition will take place on 19 August at Lal Lal Soldiers Memorial Hall Clarendon, with awards ceremony kicking off at 2:30pm.
