Since last Friday, Ballarat Skoda Rush has played interstate against Canberra, Nunawading at home, Bendigo on the road and will face Hobart on Saturday night.
A rescheduled Capitals game has made it arguably the most punishing run for any team this season.
Ballarat Rush coach Eric Hayes hoped the team’s fitness work would hold his players in good stead, with lighter training sessions this week and a focus on eating well and staying hydrated.
“We haven’t had that recovery playing a couple games, then having a couple of days rest before another game, then a couple days rest,” Hayes said of the week.
“But it will certainly be nice to get back home to play another tough opponent.”
Despite a loss to the undefeated Bendigo on Wednesday, Hayes came away from the clash pretty positive.
“We took out of that game that we could outplay them and I guess I’ve felt that against any team that we’ve played,” Hayes said.
“When we’re playing well we can match it with anybody and that showed, it’s just being able to sustain that for the full length of the game.”
Against a tough Hobart side, Hayes said plenty of Ballarat support would help.
“The girls noticed last week (against Nunawading) having a pretty good crowd, especially towards the end of the game, they just felt that noise was really uplifting for them,” he said.
