Ballarat Skoda Rush came back from a 17-point deficit to level scores in the final term.
With less than two minutes on the clock it was a three-point ball game, but it was the visitors that took control and charged to a nine-point victory.
It was another tussle between the Ballarat GMHBA Miners and Hobart with a thrilling final term going down to the wire.
The Miners rallied to get within two points with 23 seconds left in the game, but Hobart captain Craig Moller going to the line twice and making all four free throws ended his former team’s hopes of victory.
Both games marked the final time in front of a home crowd for the Miners and Rush in the regular season.
