Meanwhile, East Point’s Claire Bourdon celebrated her 100th game with a thrilling three-point victory over Lake Wendouree on Sunday.
The Lakers led at every change keeping the Dragons goalless for three quarters.
But East Point stormed to victory in the final term with two majors enough to get the job done at C E Brown Reserve.
Bourdon, who has enjoyed a decorated career including competing in what was the premier division of female football the Victorian Women’s Football League, was among East Point’s best.
The Dragons remain comfortably in second spot on the ladder, one game behind an undefeated Redan.
Gisborne was competitive in the first half of a top four battle with the ladder-leaders, with just two points the difference at the first break.
But the Lions roared in the second half to kick away to a 36-point victory on the road at Gardner Reserve.
Carisbrook produced one of its strongest displays of the season defeating Darley, 136-1, at Carisbrook Recreation Reserve on Sunday to stay in touch with the top two.
Brea Kile, Letisha Stewart and Kaitlyn Kile all contributed three majors each for Carisbrook, with seven players in total enjoying multiple goals on Sunday.
