Express is second last on the ladder with two victories, ahead of the winless Sovereigns. Of its five remaining opponents, three of them are top five sides – Express and Southern Saints the two most winnable games on paper. Meanwhile in division one, Sovereigns are favoured to knock-off ninth-placed Boroondara and remain a game clear in the top four.
Selkirk Sovereigns are in hot form, claiming its first top four scalp last week against the Hawks.
The 19/under side has won five of its last six matches and is proving one of the form sides of the competition. But it may have left its run too late for the top four. It is 14 points behind fourth-placed Blaze and with five rounds remaining, finals look unlikely.
