The Sapphires fought back to clinch third position putting together an emphatic 26-14 final term after a low-scoring first half.
Just six points separated Australia and Hungary when the final buzzer sounded early on Monday morning AEST in Minsk, Belarus, with the final score 57-51.
Amoore played 14 minutes of the bronze medal match and in that time collected two points, one rebound, three assists, two steals and a block for the Sapphires.
The result came after a tough 10-point loss to eventual runners-up France in a semi-final on Saturday to miss out on a back-to-back chance to go for gold.
The United States won the world tournament after a 40-92 demolition of France.
