A man in his late teens miraculously survived the incident, seemingly without a scratch, after the car he was driving is believed to have hit a pole and became airborne just after 4pm.
One witness, Nicole, was driving just in front of the ute when she heard a bang.
“I looked in my mirror and I just saw this car flying and it ended up on its side, it was really like it was a movie,” she said.
“I could see someone trying to open the side door to get out. It looks like he got out okay.”
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man was assessed at the scene and taken to Ballarat Base Hospital for observation, but had escaped major injury.
