Prep pupils from Alfredton Primary School spent Friday dressed up as 100-year-olds and completing 100-themed activities to celebrate the fact they have been at school for 100 days.
That makes them 100 days smarter.
Foundation teacher Kaitlyn Dunstone said the excited youngsters had been eagerly counting up the days to reach the milestone.
“It’s a massive transition to school from an early learning setting and we’re just celebrating how mature they have become, how much they’ve learned, and for them they need to know that we recognise that and are really proud and excited for them,” she said.
While some of the day was spent on normal activities, much of the learning celebrated the number 100. There was counting, cup cake decorating, a decorated hallway, 100 day hats and crowns to make and colouring.
The tiny centenarians also put on a performance at the school assembly in front of classmates, teachers and families.
