Artists from A Baker’s Dozen will explore the connections between music and art in Music Heard Visually, which opens today.
Paloma White’s work includes swaying, swirling figures, inspired by ancient Cretan sound of Xylouris, while Len Hyatt has painted tributes to Blondie and Keith Moon.
Cameron Ross describes his piece Panache de Nimbus as “…a factory of sorts standing loftily on legs, as more of an echo chamber for sound and memories, whilst it’s hexagonal steel gramophone horn protrudes outward emitting French sounds.”
The new exhibition at Backspace Gallery in Alfred Deakin Place launches 6-8pm on August 17.
