A tick over 11 months later, the prolific forward is getting ready for his return to finals football.
Murray was back in the Beaufort senior side last weekend and kicked two goals against Newlyn. This locked away his place in the team that will take on Gordon this Sunday.
The 26-year-old, who played out the grand final despite suffering his knee injury in the first quarter, said he began focusing on an early return about half-way through his recovery.
“For a start I thought I was going to sit the year out and wait for next year (but) the boys have been going too well not to be part of it,” Murray said.
