Lloyd, who was recruited to the Sydney Swans with pick 15 in the 2013 AFL rookie draft, has played 22 games this season.
His campaign in defence has returned a league-high 405 kicks and 622 disposals, which is 10th best in the competition. His 140 marks is also 10th on the league charts.
Lloyd is a former Horsham Demons footballer in the Wimmera league, who made his AFL debut in 2014. Since then, he has gone on to play 92 games at the elite level.
The final 22-man All Australian team will be revealed on Wednesday evening. If successful in gaining a spot, it will be Lloyd’s first selection in the side.
Lloyd is one of two Sydney Swans players in the squad, with teammate Lance Franklin looking for an eighth All Australian honour.
