The Kangaroos have to wait for Essendon VFL coach and their all-time great spearhead Dan Jordan to finalise his line-up before learning whether Jake McQueen, Joel Ottavi and Jacob Brown are available to face North Ballarat City at the Eastern Oval.
All played for Essendon in the last home and away round at the weekend – missing East Point’s loss to Darley.
East Point ruckman Paul Koderenko told a media conference on Wednesday that the Kangaroos would have to wait on Essendon selection for an elimination final before finalising its own line-up.
McQueen has been in and out of the Bombers’ side since mid-season, taking his VFL tally of games to eight for the year.
He played for the Roos in round 17 before lining up with Ottavi and Brown for Essendon on Saturday.
Brown has spent the past two rounds as 23rd player for the Bombers, while Ottavi is fresh from his second VFL appearance for the year.
Koderenko said East Point would be bolstered by the return of experienced duo and on-field leaders Daniel Tung and Daniel Semmens.
North Ballarat skipper Simon McCartin said Ryan Luke was a chance to return from a broken jaw alongside other inclusions Will Young (hamstring) and Marcus Darmody (hamstring).
Luke has been out since round 10 on June 30.
