Tris had it easy but not everyone gets that lucky as 80 per cent of Divergents get assassinated every year at the aptitude testing.
Do you want that to be you?
Exactly, so let’s start. To pass the test you will need these materials:
- A knife
- Fear serum
- Water bottle
The fear serum is to inject into the person doing your test. You can you get your hands on some by going to the building at exactly 8.36am. If not at that time you WILL NOT SURVIVE!
The security guard arrives at the building at 8.50am so that gives you approximately 14 minutes to get the fear serum and get out of there.
The serum will be in the lab in the freezer closest to the door but you can only get through the door with the special key card which only Jeanine and Marcus have access to.
The night before the day of testing at the celebration dinner, which will be held at Marcus’s house, you sneak into his bedroom and steal the key card, which is when you will need the knife.
You will use the knife to break the lock he has on his bedroom door, he keeps the key card in his bottom desk draw. When he is giving his all-amazing speech that’s when you need to move. All the guards will be protecting him near the kitchen, which is on the other side of the house, so that gives you the all clear to easily sneak into the room.
Once you’re done in the room you will use the water bottle to pour over the lock system so it looks like it simply malfunctioned.
Back to the first stage, when you are at the building with the serum hidden away from curious eyes you will act completely normal until you got into your assigned room.
When the person testing you turns around to get the serum you will stick the needle into their neck, the serum will make them weak the moment it gets into their bloodstream. That will make it a lot easier to get them to swallow the blue drink, which is just a sedative that lasts exactly 20 minutes.
This is just enough time to make up your test results, which you will make your original faction whether you are from Abnegation or Erudite.
After that you should escape as quick as you can from the back door...but you aren’t. You are going to call for help and say they fainted while explaining the results to you. They will let you go and BOOM… one stage down.
The second stage is successfully getting through the choosing ceremony, which you will only need one material and that is your blood. Shouldn’t be that hard to get (note the sarcasm).
Anyway, there is only one thing you must do to pass this stage and that is to choose Amity. You need to choose Amity because that is where you will find Four. From there he will take you to the secret camp that he and Tris have set up.
WAIT!
Did you think I was done?
There is still one more stage to surviving life as a Divergent and that is to get past Eric. Yep you heard right, Eric.
To get past Eric you will need:
- Truth serum
- Connor Graham.
Connor is the key to getting past Eric – you WILL NOT SURVIVE without him.
So, to find Connor you will need to go behind Johanna’s house when you get to Amity.
When you arrive everyone else will be going to the cafeteria. You will have to sneak off to her house, which won’t be hard at all, they are all so naïve they’ll believe anything you say.
Once you’ve snuck off you can go to the back of Johanna’s house, there will be Connor waiting for you.
Background info on Connor:
- He is Divergent
- Four found him hiding in the Candor Tunnels
- He is Cristina’s brother
When you see Connor behind the house you must say T, F, C, C, P – this stands for Tris, Four, Cristina, Caleb and Peter.
When he hears you, he will know that you are Divergent and was sent by me, his trusty best friend. After that he will run through the plan.
The entire Divergent camp is secured by a gigantic, invisible gate and only one enemy knows about it, Eric.
The first thing you will do is go to Candor to pick up the truth serum. The serum will be used to wipe Eric’s memory of ever knowing about or finding out about the camp.
Immediately when you get to Candor, Max and Kiya will be waiting for you. They are also Divergents.
They will have the serum ready for you and they will also escort you both to the train, so there are no problems on the way there.
Once you and Connor have gotten onto the train there will be guards. That is when Connor comes in handy.
He is trained in combat by Four and is ordered to protect you at all costs by Tris just in case the guards recognise you.
By the time you get back to Amity, news will have spread about your sudden disappearance, so you will both sneak off the train and make your way around the village and get into the woods as quick as possible. When you are in the woods it will be dark, so you will be more alert than ever.
Eric comes to the camp at 9pm every night to try and find out more about it. That is when you and Connor strike. Connor will have the amnesia serum and you need to mix it in with the truth serum which creates a chemical reaction that will completely erase the memory you want gone forever.
To catch Eric, Connor will lead with you behind him and will knock Eric off his feet. While they are fighting you need to prepare the needle. When Connor has Eric in a head lock you will insert the serum into Eric’s neck. The serum takes affect after 20 seconds which will put Eric into a hypnotised state that allows you to ask him questions.
To erase his memory of the camp you will need to ask him to say everything he remembers about the camp and then ask him to forget everything he said.
Once that is taken care of, Connor will put him back into his truck and set it on automatic back to the village and when he wakes up he will believe he was on a nightly patrol and just fell asleep.
After that, you and Connor will go to the access door located at the gate and put in this code: CAAE=D
The code means Candor, Amity, Abnegation, Erudite Equals Divergent.
Finally, when the door opens, Four, Tris and Cristina will be waiting for you and Connor.
They will get Ashlee to escort you to your new room and she will show you around the camp. Be warned Ashlee can be a little out-there when it comes to new people, so smile and be polite and you will have made a new, wonderful friend.
And that is how you survive life as a divergent.
PS: If you don’t follow this procedure YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE!
