Waubra skipper Tom Nash and defender Nick Moran are the only players left in the Waubra senior side that featured in the club’s last premiership back in 2011.
Nash was in just his first year at the club when he played in the Roos’ grand final win over Daylesford, with Moran a teammate in the backline.
This Saturday, the two will line up for Waubra’s Central Highlands Football League preliminary final showdown with Beaufort.
A place in the grand final awaits either the Roos or the Crows, which will meet the winner of Sunday’s preliminary final between Buninyong and Gordon.
Of the last four teams, the Eagles have the longest premiership drought, which spans back to 1988.
