In their fourth meeting this season, Redan managed a strong start over East Point before the weather turned with the wet better suiting the Dragons’ style of play.

In other games, AFL Goldfields Under-15 Youth Girls kicked off the grand final action with Redan victorious over Lake Wendouree by 10 points after trailing in the first half. Best on ground was awarded to Redan' s co-captain Ruby Stephens.
In Ballarat Under-18 Youth Girls, Lake Wendouree enjoyed a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Ballarat after dominating the fourth term. Lakers’ young gun Nyakoat Dojiok was deemed best on ground and noted just how much of a challenge the four-point win had been.
Gisborne Blue pulled off an incredible victory in Riddell Under-18 Youth Girls competition, defeating Sunbury Kangaroos by just three points after taking the lead for the first time in the final term. Best on ground went to Gisborne’s Olivia Floreani, who thanked her coaches, parents and teammates, who she described as “awesome” to play alongside.
In Ballarat Under-13 Junior Girls, North Ballarat dominated for most of the four quarters to win by 15 points over Redan. Despite the Lions setting up some late scoring opportunities, they were held goalless for the game. Best on ground was awarded to onballer Isabella Davies from North Ballarat.
