Food Ruckers is set to open in the centre during late Spring, situated across from Showbiz Cinemas. The restaurant gave punters a little taste of whats to come on Saturday at a pop-up shop for Delacombe Town Centre’s first birthday celebrations.
It follows environmentally-friendly brewing company Broo abandoning plans to open a bar and burger store at the Delacombe Town Centre, in favour of expanding their presence within the Ballarat West Employment Zone in a $100 million development.
Though the brewery originally planned to open a store in the city’s newest shopping centre by November 2017, a company spokesperson told The Courier in April that “Broo concluded recently that its operations focusing in the Ballarat precinct are better served by expansion of the proposed development at BWEZ”.
It is not yet known if the restaurant has any connection to American burger chain Fuddruckers, which had a total of 111 franchise stores in the United States in 2017.
