A large squad is expected to come to Ballarat, with the majority of fit players in contention for minutes.
One player eager to establish himself and continue to build on a strong pre-season is Josh Hope.
Hope, who made his way through the FFA’s Centre of Excellence and then into Victory’s program said while Saturday’s game is only a friendly, there is plenty the side can take away in preparation for October’s Hyundai A-League season.
“We’ve been training hard for it all week, we want to win,” Hope told The Courier on Friday.
“We’re just working out the structure we want to play.”
Saturday's game will be the second time Kevin Muscat's men face Hyundai A-League opposition this pre-season, following a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar in Morwell last weekend.
Kick-off is at 2.30pm on Saturday at Morshead Park.
