On Saturday, Petrie will run out alongside a large number of teammates that lost to Hepburn in last year’s decider eager to go one better against Buninyong.
“The good thing about the club is that we’re all such great mates,” he told The Courier.
“Everyone that’s come into the club – Ben Hayes, Daniel Venditti, Jarrod McCorkell, Nick Sullivan – are really good blokes and fit straight into the group like they’ve been there for years.
“That’s what we have really striven for out here and (coach) Rohan Brown has done well making an awesome culture the last couple of years.”
Petrie has had another strong season for the club he joined from North Ballarat City ahead of the 2014 Central Highlands Football League season.
The 26-year-old has played 15 matches, kicked 11 goals and been named in the Crows’ best on eight occasions.
