An annual financial report has shed light on City of Ballarat’s financial position, with the city increasing the number of senior officers earning over $145,000.

As City of Ballarat’s highest paid officer, chief executive officer Justine Linley had an income for the last financial year in the bracket of $320,000 - $329,999.
The city’s five policy directors – Angelique Lush, Cameron Gray, Glenn Kallio, Neville Ivey and Terry Demeo – receive between $220,000 and $269,000 each year.
The municipality now employs 18 senior officers, an increase on the 15 employed by the city in the 2016/2017 financial year.
One senior officer received over $280,000 in the last financial year, while the 17 others sat in a total pay bracket between $145,000 and $219,000.
The city posted an income of more than $225 million in the 2017/2018 financial year, with an operating surplus of more than $66 million.
The report will be tabled at an ordinary council meeting on September 12.
