Wannan MP Dan Tehan said the works on the bridge which was built in 1965 increased its load capacity to 110 tonnes, bringing it in-line with current heavy vehicle standards.
Western Victorian MP Jaala Pulford said the upgrade ensured higher capacity freight vehicles can travel over the bridge.
