The Ballarat Football Netball League confirmed that an investigation officer has been appointed to take a detailed look into the incident that occurred at half-time of the weekend’s preliminary final clash between East Point and Darley.

As players left the ground, derogatory comments were allegedly made towards Darley’s Abe Kur which started a fight which saw several Darley players involved with the East Point supporter along with officials and support staff from the BFL and each club.
In a statement, the BFL confirmed the process and said it would take up to 10 days.
“The McDonald’s Ballarat Football Netball League can confirm that an investigations officer has been appointed to look into an incident that took place at the City Oval on Saturday during the senior football preliminary final.
“The investigation process is likely to take up to 10 days to complete with a report expected shortly after.”
