Competitors from all around the state have descended on the city this week to showcase their talents away from the classroom and on the sporting arena.
Sports including archery, lawn bowls, volleyball, cycling and darts were all part of the opening day of competition on Sunday which was highlighted by more than 400 competitors taking part in an Amazing Race. Principal Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School Brendan Nolan said it was a chance for staff to get away.
“Victorian Teachers’ Games is always a highlight for the staff, with 58 of our 71 staff competing in the games this year,” he said.
