Another Coldie ($4.40) turned the Ballarat Turf Club spring feature race into a one-horse affair.
He kicked away near the top of the home straight and went away by more than two lengths from stablemates Andrea Mantegna ($13) and Sixties Groove ($4).
Weir had four of the 10 starters.
Jockey Dean Yendall settled Another Coldie up on the pace, outside pacemaker Mihany.
Weir stable representative Darryn Murphy said Another Coldie seeemed to appreciate being out in the open.
He said while the five-year-old had been disappointing in his latest outings, this might have been attributed to having horses around him.
Murphy said while the stable’s other three runners had been all first-up from spells, Another Coldie had been race fit and on a track to suit.
Another Coldie gave Weir back-to-back Gold Nuggets, having won with Kiwia last year.
Another Coldie gave Weir a double in Ballarat, with Tavidance ($3.50) saluting in the Whitford Liquid Waste Maiden, 1400m.
He also had a double at Coleraine.
Another Ballarat trainer Dan O'Sullivan profited from emergency British Isle ($14) getting a run, with the five-year-old saluting in the Porter Plant Maiden, 1200m.
It was only British Isle's fourth race start and second since September last year.
MITCH Freedman and Dean Larsson are other Ballarat trainers enjoying winning runs.
Unbeknown ($7) became Freedman's latest winner in a maiden, 1900m, at the last race meeting on the Geelong synthetic track.
This circuit is to be replaced by a synthetic circuit in Ballarat next year.
Originally from Queensland, the five-year-old had raced just twice previously. This gives Freedman four wins this month.
Larsson's small team is flying.
Easy Dream ($3.10 favourite) saluted in a benchmark64 handicap, 1900m, at Geelong.

Larsson has had four wins with Easy Dream and Schweinsteiger in their latest seven outings.
BRETT Prebble's return to Australian racing is off to a rocky start with the star jockey suspended at Caulfield.
New chief steward Robert Cram issued a 20-meeting ban to Prebble on Saturday after finding him guilty of improper riding aboard Cross Legend in the listed Jim Moloney Stakes.
Prebble pleaded not guilty.
Prebble is still able to ride Hong Kong sprinter Lucky Bubbles in the Sprinters Stakes in Japan on Sunday week before starting the suspension. He can return on October 19.
