A lot of people have asked “Why pay for it?”, and we answer because our content has value and costs money to produce. If we keep giving it away for free it won’t be around for long.
As a subscriber you probably already know this. You value local news, sport and what is happening in Ballarat.
Ballarat is what matters to us and that is why we intend to keep on doing what we do best; being the city’s leading news and sport provider - with your support.
And in this way not much has changed. For 151 years Ballarat has relished and ‘owned’ its own local voice; The Courier and has always paid for it in a cover price.
Thanks for your loyalty. Great journalism costs money and your digital subscription will help keep The Courier alive in a new digital age.
Over even this short time we have seen some amazing engagement with the content that keeps you coming back; the best and first in breaking news, the issues that matter to Ballarat, the sporting triumphs as well as those human stories that reflect what a great community we live in.
In the near future not only will you, the subscriber, get unlimited access to all this content but access to exclusive content and access to forums and events.
But of course; great content is what we all about.
Here is just a taste; a selection from our past week of stories you may have missed and a new story exclusive to subscribers today about just one of the trends changing how we eat in Ballarat.
Welcome and enjoy.
Regards,
