The former Daylesford and Sebastopol footballer won the final of the Carlton Draught Barrel Time competition at the MCG on grand final day.
Oliver beat rival Sam Sobey in the decider, with his best torpedo effort landing at 67m. Both finalists had two kicks each, with the longest declared the winner.
For his efforts, Oliver wins $2500 cash, $5000 cash for Lake Wendouree – he was a junior coach at the club this year – and a return trip for two people to the USA for the ultimate punting experience with the Denver Broncos. This includes a match day experience and the opportunity to participate in a punting session at the Denver Broncos training facility.
Oliver, who has endured two knee reconstructions, has also played senior football with Lismore-Derrinallum and Castlemaine.
