Sophie van de Heuvel, Lauren Butler, Georgia Clarke and Rene Caris all showed their credentials to AFLW recruiters and enjoyed some strong results. In particular was van de Heuvel, who won the running vertical jump (off left foot), at 70cm.
Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said he was extremely proud of the way the girls conducted themselves.
“I’m really proud of our girls’ performances,” Partington said.
“The girls prepared themselves really well for the combine and presented themselves really well, they’ve done everything they possibly can to have their names called out in two weeks time.”
AFLW draft will be held on October 23.

For the boys, Tom Berry is the only Rebel attending the national combine. But unfortunately for him he was forced to watch on as he recovers from Osgood-Schlatter syndrome, a knee issue.
Nonetheless, Berry was able to interview and get involved with the less physical tests. AFL clubs already have access to his test results from earlier in the year, so his draft chances should not be severely hindered. Fellow Rebels Matthew Lloyd, Jed Hill and Charlie Wilson will test in the state combine on Friday while Scott Carlin and James Cleaver will attend the Rookie Me combine.
