The 24-year-old enjoyed a stand-out year under the guidance of former North Ballarat Rebels coach David Loader. Rippon averaged 22.9 disposals a game in his 17 appearances, with a season-high 31 disposals against Sandringham in round nine and Geelong in round 10.
Former Rebels plauyer Michael Close received the best clubman award.
