Ballarat’s Taite is no stranger to reality television romance shows.
He is competing for a rose and Ali’s affection one year after appearing on First Dates in a fling with Dee Nguyen – who went on to star in Geordie Shore – stripping off his t-shirt to show her his gym-toned body.
Taite who grew up in Ballarat, went to Ballarat Clarendon College and played TAC Cup under-18 football with North Ballarat Rebels, chalking up 18 games in two seasons (2007-08).
The 28-year-old is now a Bank of Melbourne bank manager and ticks all of Ali’s boxes – spontaneous, energetic and always up for a new adventure but ready to settle down with someone special.
Enjoying fitness and living an active life, Taite is attracted to Ali’s healthy lifestyle and positive attitude.
Producers say Taite is seen as the Dr Phil of his close circle of friends, often being the one to give advice.
Bachelorette Ali Oetjen first found romantic fame on Tim Robards’ season of The Bachelor in 2013 and joins The Bachelorette amid controversy from her jilted love interest on last year’s Bachelor In Paradise.
The Bachelorette premieres on Wednesday, 7.30pm on TEN.
