Club president Gary Wilson said having each of the 22 from the grand final locked in was an ideal start to the off-season.
He said “13 to 14” were signed before the grand final and the balance had been quickly secured since.
Wilson said the focus was now on topping up the Kangaroos’ list by as much as the player points system would allow.
He said they would look at adding a maximum of three top-end players.
“We’ll be placing a strong focus on bringing through more of our own youngsters and giving them an opportunity.”
East Point blooded under-18.5 players Nick Canny, Tom Clark, Matt Romeril and Ben Dodd at senior level this year. Canny and Clark, who played in the finals series, finished one-two in the club’s under-18.5 best and fairest.
Last year’s BFL under-18.5 best and fairest Dallas Martin also established himself in the line-up after an interrupted start to the season to be part of the premiership team.
Wilson said in addition, former leading under-age players Joe Dodd and Mitch Tuddenham would return after missing the year with injury. Dodd managed just the one game (round one).
He said a strong young talent pool had the Kangaroos well placed.
