The now second-year trainee won the New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory Trainee Championship in August and finished second in the Queensland equivalent.
While just last week at the Victorian PGA Championship at RACV Cape Schanck Resort he smashed the course record with an eight-under-par second round of 62, eventually finishing in a tie for fourth.
It’s fair to say the 21-year-old is hitting them well.
Droop is one of 81 competitors in the field that will take to the Ballarat Golf Club next week.
The four-round tournament will take place from October 23-26 and is richest trainee tournament in the world, bringing the most talented trainees from across Australia and around the world to Ballarat.
Meanwhile, the Futures Pro-Am will be on the Monday while the Trackman qualifiers, a worldwide event providing an opportunity to virtually play against other players, are held on Friday.
