The three tiny baby Pacific black ducklings, believed to only be about 6cm in length were rescued after falling into a drain just outside the Ballarat yacht club on Thursday.
Rescuers were forced to open the cover of the drain to rescue the three mischievous explorers after the mother became distressed and alerted people nearby that her brood had fallen through a gap in the drain.
The babies appeared uninjured after their rescue despite their fall.
