Billboards advertising Wendouree election candidates have been vandalised rocking both candidates.
The advertising billboards promoting Amy Johnson’s candidature in the upcoming State Election were attack overnight, many with lewd markings, which The Courier has chosen not to publish.
It appears the same vandal has also scribbled over Ms Addison’s posters.
Ms Addison said she was appalled that the billboards had been defaced.
“This is not representative of either parties,” Ms Addison said.
“Candidates are passionate about their community and Victoria and have given up a lot of their time and privacy to try and make a difference for our community.
“You need to recognise that no what party or group is running, they have made huge sacrifices. This is incredibly disappointing to see.”
Ms Johnson said she was disappointed that her billboards had been targeted in such a way, with others having been vandalised and stolen in recent weeks.
She said she had filed a report with police.
“It’s disappointing to see that some people are resorting to vandalism and theft of property in this election campaign,” she said.
