Bloods football manager Brad Jamison said the recommitment was a show of faith in the club.
“Arch has become a much loved member of the club in his two seasons with us.
“We look forward to the big fella giving us first use in the middle and finding the footy around the ground for at least the next two years,” he said as Melton continues to roll out player re-signing announcements.
Archard has had a huge impact since arriving at MacPherson Park.
He has taken out the best and fairest in each of his two seasons and as on-field leader this year was instrumental in Melton returning to finals football and reaching the grand final.
Liam Carter has also decided to keep Melton as his home club while pursuing a VFL career with Williamstown.
He developed into an integral player for the Bloods as a tall swingman – playing 13 games in the BFL.
He managed two VFL appearances.
