FIRE crews have been on the scene this morning at a shed fire in Mount Helen.

The fire took hold just after 11am this morning near the corner of Geelong Road and University Drive.
Nine crews from all across the region fought the blaze which took 15 minutes to bring under control and has since been extinguished.
It is understood a car parked in the shed was also destroyed
Ballarat City fire station senior officer Scott Gambino said while investigators were looking into the cause, it was not deemed suspicious
