Marquees, rides and exhibitions have all begun to take shape and Lucy Quartermain of the Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society (BAPS) is ready.
“There is just so much on this year, I really couldn’t be more excited,” she said.
This year will be focusing on promoting local attractions and activities, as well as the more agricultural side of the show.
One of the new additions will be an interactive sheep-shearing exhibition positioned front and centre in the main pavilion.
Volunteers Stuart Rowe and John Molesworth have constructed the ‘stage’ for the exhibition and think it is a great opportunity for people to see sheep-shearing up-close.
If agriculture isn’t your thing however, monster trucks might be. The behemoth performance is sure to rev some engines ahead of the event.
